What Guests Are Saying
Juniper Springs Recreation Area is a beautiful natural destination, ideal for summer visits with its refreshing springs and scenic kayaking on Juniper Run. Campgrounds are generally well-maintained and offer a peaceful atmosphere, with friendly staff enhancing the experience. However, some facilities, like the wooden boardwalks and bathrooms, require repairs, and visitors should be cautious of ticks and occasional overcrowding in popular areas.

The staff is very informative, helpful and friendly. Loved staying with the family. We are an a family on the spectrum and it was very nice to have a space that has resources and accommodations for people with special needs.

Staff are welcoming and informative on where to go and what to expect. Grounds are well maintained and no trash to be seen at the camp site. Bear prevention and food/cooler storage at every camp.
I’ll be back.

This is a beautiful piece of nature that I will continue to cherish for as long as possible. The spring, although very cold, is a wonderful way to spend a hot summer day. Juniper Run is the spring that you can paddle for 7 mi. They provide kayak rentals and shuttle, or you can bring your own kayaks, but you need a second vehicle at the takeout spot. If you’re camping, make sure that all your food is locked away anytime you leave your campsite.

This place was beautiful growing up. Now it’s ridiculously overcrowded. They over sell the he swimming area day admissions. The wooden dock trail along the river is rotted and closed. They do not let people walk down the river. There

Although it was raining, we had a great time. The Campsite was clean and remote, right next to a half mile trail to the springs. Perfect way to start our morning. The grill and fire pit were also well kept, and the staff was friendly.

Beautiful as always. The Juniper Run was shallow. It was still a great time. Saw one solo gator who swam about two feet from me. Wasn't to excite about that. Then saw a momma gator and 3 little gators. Totally avoided her and babies. Got to the canoe launch and heard so mean gators barking. It was lovely

It was off season so I had most of the fern loop to myself. It was wonderful. Dawn at the gatehouse was very helpful and nice. All the amenities for the camp site and bath house were very clean. The spring was beautiful.
