I have been a resident at The Springs RV Resort in Silver Springs, FL for four years. I have never missed a monthly payment and have always complied fully and promptly with every request.
I am disabled due to a kidney transplant 19 years ago, yet remain very active and have worked from home for 18 years selling handmade items on eBay.
Unfortunately, the property has serious, ongoing issues:
Maintenance & Safety
Persistent mold in the pool area (reappeared after initial cleaning) and bathhouse showers (6 facilities total). Mold stays in grout lines despite daily cleaning; supplies/equipment seem inadequate for deep remediation.
Frequent water leaks (~once/month) require shutoffs and boil-water notices. A water main on my lot has been broken/protruding for over 2 years — flushing washes away grass, exposes tree roots (tripping hazard). I requested repair 3 times; told it costs $300, so no action. (Photo attached shows the exposed pipe. And flooding to my site they do every time it has a leak.)
Laundry has old machines; only ~40% work, forcing residents to use an off-site laundromat a mile away.
Staffing & Grounds
Only 6 employees (manager, 2 front desk, 3 groundskeeping). Leaf removal/maintenance is manual with rakes across 600+ lots — staff cannot keep up, likely contributing to turnover.
Amenities
Reported $100 annual entertainment budget means no organized events from management. A $28,000 pickleball court investment resulted in a painted slab with no net for 6 months.
Management
Oversight does not consistently address cleanliness, safety, or upkeep. On-site manager Garrett follows approaches taught by Andrew (who oversees operations). Andrew stated he holds two business degrees, yet the park runs at roughly half occupancy in peak season with low ratings (~2.4 TripAdvisor, ~2.3 Yelp) and ongoing problems — outcomes suggesting limited practical application of business principles, likely costing significant revenue through lost bookings and reduced profitability. Casual presentation (e.g., baseball cap all day) does not match expectations for a premium resort.
The company has a pattern of hiring less-qualified individuals for key roles and family connections (Andrew connected to Wilder family through marriage). Uneven rule enforcement and infrequent higher-level oversight are common.
Management Response
I sent detailed private feedback to ownership. Andrew called and stated “everything I wrote is factually incorrect,” mocking me, corrected pickleball cost to $28,000, mentioned two business degrees and monthly bathroom inspections.
No substantive response was given to the documented issues.
I am disappointed that the owner has not reached out personally or shown direct interest in addressing concerns from a disabled, long-term resident who has paid on time every month for four years. Despite my willingness to discuss solutions, there has been no meaningful engagement from ownership.
Many of these problems seem fixable with better prioritization and investment. Prospective residents should review recent feedback and speak to current ones before committing.
This review is based on my direct experience and is posted in hopes of improvement for all residents and guests.

This resort is anything other than a resort. It’s a great place for a quick stop but not so great for a extended stay. They have a security post that is never manned in the 4 years I wintered there. I had the electric cord stollen right off my RV and things taken from my lot. Management did nothing and did not care at all! Sewer plant would get overly full and toxic fumes would permeate the area, again management didn’t care. People openly smoking dope make it impossible to open a window or get a breath of fresh air. The one thing they had going for them was the activities director that work herself to the bone trying to provide a wonderful experience for all the guest with little to no support from the management. Now she retired and it has gone to pot. I did make many friend and will Miss them but the management is a flat out joke and waste of a paycheck Wilder corp needs to do much better. My advise is find some place else. This one is not worth it.

Quiet, affordable RV park with great amenities, within walking distance of Silver Springs, Walmart and multiple restaurants. All 50amp sites taken so limited electrical capabilities. Lots of shaded sites, heated pool, shuffle board, club house and lots of scheduled activities. Great place to stay!

I have been here 6 months on and 6 months off for going on 4 years now. I can’t believe the comments about our pool. It is ABSOLUTELY beautiful and clean. I have NEVER seen it dirty at all. The bathrooms are cleaned and bright. There is always something going on. We play cards in the club house at least 4 nights a week. I absolutely love it here. I am going to be here annuals now. The staff is friendly. The laundry could be better but if that’s all that’s wrong….

We’ve been full time residents here for two years. We love this park. The people are very caring and helpful. Rent and utilities are beyond reasonable. The amenities are awesome. While there are sometimes issues with water, because of careless drivers cutting through empty lots, they are generally dealt with quickly and efficiently. The pool is always crystal clear and inviting. There are many activities such as pool parties, pot luck dinners, cards, karaoke and holiday celebrations. Things really pick up during snowbird season. No Karen’s on our staff here!
