I hate to even say how nice this place is because I would love to keep it a secret. BEAUTIFUL, quiet, big open spots. Wonderful views of the lake. Nice walk to the dam. We went in late October. Nights were cool for campfires and days were warm for walking. Loved every minute of it and would go back in a heartbeat.

Beautifuly kept park. Sites were level and large enough for 40 ft plus tow. Very clean sites. Did not use restrooms. The sunsets were out of this world gorgeous. So quiet and not a lot of traffic going in and out of park. Gate attendant was very friendly. We will definitely recommend and return again.

The detour due to road closure was a little wonky--very narrow-- to start. The sites are paved which is nice, but in the treed areas, covered in pine needles. I had to switch sites after the first day, from 49 to 25, due to Starlink coverage. The second site was much nicer. The bathrooms, unfortunately, are sketchy. You can't tell if they are clean, they are so old--did not use them. The biggest thing for me, as a park volunteer/camp host, was the amount of garbage lying around. I spent an hour one day picking it up and had a lawn bag full when I was done--I only covered a small area! It was also a bummer to see the water so low, but that is not always in the park's control.
