I had a wonderful time at East Bank. The hosts were wonderful and very friendly. The grounds were very well kept. The rest rooms were a little dated but clean and serviceable. I did not use the shower facilities. I was in spot 31 on the water with a great view. The highlight of my days there were the evenings watching the beautiful sunsets. Forewarned about the potential for an ant problem, I came prepared but I did not encounter any ant. I hope to return in the fall for another visit.

I love stopping at Eastbank. Campsites are roomy with most being right on the water with a westward view that makes for gorgeous sunsets.

I wanted to stay a couple of extra days, but the bugs were unbearable. I previously stayed in Shenandoah, and when we had to leave a day early, they automatically issued us a refund without us even asking. Here, however, the staff was very rude and immediately said no.
We also got locked out of our car and were told they were calling the police, but they never actually did. My husband had to make the call himself. On top of that, after knowing about the accident and that my husband has a heart bypass condition, the staff’s response was simply: “Well, you still have to leave because another guest is coming.”
The lack of compassion and sensitivity was extremely disappointing.
