What Guests Are Saying
Eastbank is a highly regarded campground known for its beautiful, well-maintained facilities and spacious, clean sites, providing a peaceful atmosphere with stunning lake views and friendly staff. Many visitors appreciate the well-kept grounds and the variety of amenities, making it an excellent choice for camping and fishing. However, some reviews note that the bathrooms require better maintenance, and there are concerns about the leash rules for pets not being followed consistently.

Our experiences at Eastbank on December 13, 2023 was "stellar". We loved it so much we planned on coming back. We made another reservation for 9 days in April and later was able to extend it to 10, and did. This time, the gate staff were not cooperative and would not listen. I was forced to pay a 50% discount that I thought I had covered otherwise they told me I couldn't get in. They refused to look at my previously paid receipts and confirmations. We had driven six hours to get there and were exhausted. We asked for a manager and was told there was none. We were told the electronic gate pad was for emergencies and if we got left out after 10pm we would have to leave our vehicles at the top of the hill and walk to our site, and, make friends with someone in the camp to bring us back up the hill in the morning. I explained I have a new hip and can't travel that far and they wouldn't budge from their decision. Later, it was found that a trainee at the America the Beautiful office had issued me a Vets card because I was a vet and she said it would work to get me camping discounts. So I bought another pass online. Bathrooms were covered in black mold up to my knees, no hand rails, open public trash containers. Park staff were remarkable and very pleasant and our site was absolutely spotless. They were always pleasant to talk with and just nice people. Later found out that the gate staff could have sold me the correct pass on the spot and been done with it. Instead, they made me pay $140 to pay "full price" and I still had to pay $90 for the seniors pass. I hope the park addresses the attendants behavior as the remaining park staff were absolutely "super". It is a beautiful park and it shouldn't be tarnished with poor customer relations. It's really too bad as this ruined our experience with this once great park.

We stayed at East Bank for 5 nights. It is a lovely campground, well maintained with spacious sites. The campground hosts, Tim and Laura, were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. We will definitely return should our travels take us to the Lake Seminole area but this time we’ll bring our fishing poles!!
