The concrete wall around the outside perimeter of most of the shelter was not safe for our group of all senior citizens. However, Shelter A has a great shaded area and place for the kids to play.

Great location for a Cub Scouts event. Having a playground nearby and lots of space for the Pack to interact, while still being separated from day visitors was perfect.

We really enjoyed having my daughter's bday party here last year and enjoyed things for the most part like the playground this year but one major problem was the fact that none of the power outlets were working for whatever reason. We tried all 4. We went 2 hours before her party to set up and brought an electric balloon pump that we never got to use and a bunch of decorative balloons that were unable to be used bc i couldn't blow up that many by mouth.

It was raining most of the day we were there but it was still a nice time with family and friends. We did have an issue with having no electric when we arrived and no cell/internet service to try and reach anyone, (There was no one at the gate) someone drove by that was able to assist. I would also like to mention that while under the shelter a tree limb fell right next to us, shook us up, but we were ok. Beautiful area and Cooper's Furnace was a true wonder.

Very good facility, excellent for our organizational outing, however, driving instructions via gps leave something to be desired! We had to stop and ask for directions!
Otherwise, this is a hidden gem!
