#9 is a great site right on the river, but the set up for tent camper is not great since the tent location is between the river and the picnic table & fire ring so the tent blocks the view of the river

Great little campground with 6 sites on the river. Really enjoy going over there for a long weekend. It’s nice there is no cell service so you can get away from all the distractions in the world. Also there is a great camp host that makes sure everyone is taken care of.

We enjoyed our time at this beautiful campground. Rick, the host there, went out of his way to be very helpful to us with an issue we were having. I would definitely recommend it.

The site was clean and well kept. The host could have been a bit more friendly but I understand he has a difficult job. We were also told we could have campfires and then suddenly we could not. That could have been communicated better and probably received better.

Beautiful campground and location. About half the sites are on the river. Camp host was great! Nice quiet spot. Definitely on our favorites list.

Take U.S. 76 west from Clayton for 8 miles; turn right (north) on Persimmon Road for 5 miles; turn left (northwest) on Tallulah River Road (Forest Service Road 70) for 1 mile to the campground entrance.
Tallulah River Campground is accessible via U.S. Highway 76, which is approximately 8 miles away from Clayton.
Elevation: 603 feet

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
