About Low Gap Campground

Located within the Chattahoochee National Forest and veiled by the Mark Trail Wilderness. This 13-site developed campground is as close as it gets to a dispersed camping experience with amenities. This clandestine campground is best known for its plethora of opportunities for camping, fishing, hiking, hunting, and simply basking in the light of the natural world. Low Gap Campground is located only a few miles from Georgia's much-loved vacation destination, the alpine village of Helen. A trip to this campground is sure to make memories, be sure to pack a camera and take some home with you.

This was one of the best campgrounds for beauty privacy and enjoyment at keast during the off season. Our site was right next to the rapids . Also we had the whole campground to ourselves. Only negative would be for someone to check the vault bathrooms for restock.

Well maintained area bathrooms were in need of attention on Monday but then after they came Tuesday they returned on Friday to empty trash and clean the bathrooms. Game wardens drove thru several times which we appreciated. Nice area for the grandchildren to play

Camp site number 6 was great, Close up to the river and trout fishing! Only con is no privacy as other campers or visitors walk around your camp site which i only rated a 4 star. Overall great place to camp with family or friends, Beware there is no cell service.

A gem of a Campground near the town of Helen Ga. Stayed one night. Site was next to the river. Quiet and peaceful. Can't beat the price $20. Pit toilets were clean.
