Doll Mountain Campground is highly praised for its beautiful, well-maintained sites and serene views of Carters Lake. Campers appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities, accommodating hosts, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for both relaxation and outdoor activities. While there are occasional concerns about access to the lake and water pressure in showers, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many visitors eager to return.

Lovely campground with great views of the mountains and lake. Campground hosts were great. They helped us out with a serious mechanical problem when we were in a bind.

Very nice clean and level site. water pressure is not very high and Verizon doesnt have great signal unless you go down to the firepit area.

Updated bathhouses are nice, maybe one day they'll get to the other bathhouses. It's beautiful here and quiet (as long as the jet skis and boats aren't out).

Really enjoyed our camping trip. This was our 3rd time there. I’ve got to say it has 100% improved from our last trip there. Bathrooms are kept clean everyday vs last two trips bathrooms were nasty. I was told it’s under new management and I have to give them huge kudos. Thank you all for what you do and your service. We always tent camp so showers are a big thing for us and we appreciate the cleaning. Only thing I will give a thumbs down to is water pressure in the upper showers. The water system up top needs a booster or something to improve the pressure. The showers toward the back of the campgrounds have plenty of pressure but those need new benches to place our shower stuff. Those benches are wore out and moldy being they are wood unlike the plastic benches in the upper showers. Other than that which is small potatoes, the campground and staff are great. Keep in mind the staff are volunteers so for them to be so caring and friendly says a lot about Doll Mountain Campground. We are already booked to go back to our favorite spot in September. We can’t wait.

The camp host was very helpful in dealing with a rude camper who set off his truck horn several times during the wee morning hours our first 2 nights there. The campground, as always, was super clean and so were the shower/bathrooms.
