What Guests Are Saying
Doll Mountain Campground is highly praised for its beautiful, well-maintained sites and serene views of Carters Lake. Campers appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities, accommodating hosts, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for both relaxation and outdoor activities. While there are occasional concerns about access to the lake and water pressure in showers, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many visitors eager to return.

Loved camping at Doll Mountain. This is our second trip here and we have another booked for October. Friendly staff, clean restrooms and grounds. Close to Ellijay, Ga where there are great restaurants, a lovely downtown area with specialty stores, and several apple orchards. Located about 20 mi from two state parks with great hiking trails, waterfalls and swimming areas. Can't wait to go back.

Normally we enjoy C.O.E. Parks, but honestly Doll Mountain Campground was a total disappointment. The road to the park was lined with beautiful homes on top of the mountain, then it falls off steep with sharp switch backs, so be careful. We finally got to our campsite and backed in/set up, thought we would see a beautiful lake but no view from our site. The campsite had a newly reconstructed deck that was nice but the lake was about 100’ down below us. We did enjoy the electric hookups/air conditioning! I use a cpap machine and woke up our 2nd night around 1:30am smothering & gasping for air. I got up, went outside checked the park breakers, RV electrical and realized the power had failed in the park. No air conditioning! Not good, not what we paid for…. Our original reservation was for 4 nights, but we packed up and left after only 2. Oh, the power came back on around 8 or 8:30 am, just before we drove off.
We always check reviews and thought we’d like Doll Mountain, but turns out it wasn’t a good experience for us.
NOTE; If you have children with you at Doll Mountain Park, you’d better keep them on a leash because it’s a long way down with no retaining fences.
