What Guests Are Saying
Doll Mountain Campground is highly praised for its beautiful, well-maintained sites and serene views of Carters Lake. Campers appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities, accommodating hosts, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for both relaxation and outdoor activities. While there are occasional concerns about access to the lake and water pressure in showers, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many visitors eager to return.

Reserved a 'walk-in' campsite for 5 days because there were no drive-in sites available. There was no note saying how far you had to walk. Being a camper with a bad back, shoulder, and knee that distance is important. Got to the campground and realized it was not going to work. Tried to cancel and recoup some of the reservation. The website would not allow me to cancel the reservation. Asked one of the campground officials and they said it had to be through the website. So I lost my reservation money. Totally unacceptable! Don't know if that was because of the website or the campground but it is totally wrong to treat repeat campers that way.

Campsite 41. Wonderful campsite with a deck overlooking the lake. Quite campground with beautiful views of the lake. Back toward the back of the campsite, so limited street traffic. Will return!

Bit of a tight spot if your rv is long. Otherwise nice and quiet location just like rest of this park.

We had a great two-night stay on our way to the Smokies. The park is very well maintained, sites were great, and the bath houses very clean. A great stay!

We miss the atmosphere pre-COVID. Park hosts do not man the station now, rangers rarely come through. They used to enforce the no parking on grass and no boats in the sites. We've had a neighbor with a massive 5th wheel, a pontoon and FOUR trucks at once in their site.
It's a beautiful campground though and we were lucky with our neighbors this time.

Very nice, well kept campground. The only thing that would make it better is septic at the sites

Great sites with plenty of space between sites, views overlooking Carter’s Lake, and the bathhouses were new. We kayaked from the boat launch and enjoyed being on the water.
