Doll Mountain Campground is highly praised for its beautiful, well-maintained sites and serene views of Carters Lake. Campers appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities, accommodating hosts, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for both relaxation and outdoor activities. While there are occasional concerns about access to the lake and water pressure in showers, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many visitors eager to return.

Doll Mt. is now one of our favorites and we will be back. Love the very simple arrival procedures (self register). We appreciated the availability of staff, yet they were not a constant presence. One negative was having to be in the gate by 9p.m…. we felt like adults with a “curfew.” We also had a staff member (Marty) go above & beyond returning an item we left behind after arriving home (in FL)

Beautiful, well-maintained campground! Friendly and engaged hosts and volunteers who make it even more enjoyable. Level, trees sites- many with water views. Lovely drive up the mountain and quite close to charming towns of Ellijay and East Ellijay. Highly recommend trying the croissants at High Mountain Bread!
