What Guests Are Saying
Doll Mountain Campground is highly praised for its beautiful, well-maintained sites and serene views of Carters Lake. Campers appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities, accommodating hosts, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for both relaxation and outdoor activities. While there are occasional concerns about access to the lake and water pressure in showers, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many visitors eager to return.

Nice campground, particularly if you have a boat and want to get on the lake. On the downside, if you are not boating, and have kids, it's not as good. The sites and in fact the whole campground are fairly hilly, so not much open, flat space for the kids to play. There is a kid's playground, but it's fairly basic.
Also, the BBQ on our site was rusted and not usable. We were able to grill on the fire pit and then use same for campfire/smores/etc.

We stayed in site 20 and it was very private and beautiful. You have to walk ~1/4 mi down a steep rocky path to get to the site, so be prepared to carry all your stuff. We brought a wagon to help with heavier items like the cooler, but even that was difficult to get down and up. It was worth it for the view and privacy, but it was a lot of work. There are a bunch of trees for shade and hammocks and a gorgeous view of the lake. We had an amazing time!
