Site 49 is a fairly decent spot, partial shade, beachy site. The biggest problem I had with this site is that site 50 nearly forms a "T" with site 49. Not a problem if 50 isn't booked or vice versa but if campers at both sites enjoy being outdoors, you are nearly facing each other. I didn't care for that. The beach off from the camp site was ok, a little rocky, little mucky and plenty of seaweed. Site 48 is near the beach, which could have additional folks in and out but it did seem like it was a large space. 48,49,50 are back in sites. Sites 51, 52, 53 are pull through sites. They have large beach lots, but don't appear to have much shade, may be good fall or spring sites. The Campground beach is fairly nice, not as nice and sandy in the water as other beaches, a bit mucky and seaweedy. Bathhouses are clean, no soap, hand dryers. Playgrounds are newer and adequate.

The camp hosts (Mary and her husband) didn’t know how to do their jobs. I ended up paying for a site and then leaving due to issue after issue with them. I rented a site down the road. I want a refund.

Love the large campsites with easy water access!

We have spent the Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day at Oconee Point for the last 5 plus years and we love it!

The picture is not the site you get. There is no grill on site 50. Other than that it was great!

Beautiful campground. Very quiet, with almost all sites being waterfront. Some of the pull though sites could be tricky for large rigs.

I am a single female on my 1st trip in my new camper and had already had a flat on the way to the campground!! I had a week sun-sat stay and while I was there it was a 5 star. However, on the day I was to check out, I had not planned to leave prior to 2 PM. I started packing at 8 am, and the first thing I did was to wash the rugs that were put out on the first day. I had had a couple of days of rain while I was there and the rugs were really gross on the bottom. I elected to wash them first to give them a chance to dry before packing. I went about packing everything else, as well as, walking the 2 dogs that I had brought (which took 30min because I can't walk them together). I kept seeing the host drive by on his golf cart like a hawk circling it's prey! I was ahead of schedule until an unexpected rain storm occurred that lasted 45 mins. I was running around in the rain trying to get the rugs that were almost dry out of the rain!!! Soaking wet, I waited the rain out! At about 2:20 the host is already hounding me to get out and scolding me that I should have started packing earlier! I had brought a compressor to make sure the tires were inflated properly and wanted to check the lug nuts on the tire I had to replaced, but he was rushing me so much!! I pulled out of the campsite at 2:40 w/o lunch and went to the dump station. a mere 40 mins past checkout. I had not dumped since I had been there and was at the station for 30 mins. By the time I arrived at the gate to turn in my pass, I was again berated by the wife of the host "we were expecting you to be gone an hour and a half ago!" I looked at the clock on my console and it was 3:15 and check out is 2!!! Because they rushed me so much I did not have time to check the lugs on the tire that was replaced. I drove less than 20 miles to get to I-85 and felt something was not right so pulled over at a church prior to getting on the interstate and found the replaced tire was about to come off!!! I could have died TY!!!!
