Very pretty site. Workers make a lot of noise all day. Close to Savannah Historical district. One public bathroom and shower, only 1 toilet located in the office. Lots very close to each other. Loud train every night.

Red Gate Farms was our 205th stop, and we enjoyed a seven-night stay. Check-in was quick and efficient, with the host immediately supplying us with excellent handouts and local information about the Savannah area. The park's most important asset is its prime location, sitting less than 15 minutes from downtown Savannah. During the stay, they had excellent texting for events, firewood, etc. The resort itself feels like a working farm, offering a beautiful landscape with horses, goats, and peacocks. The property includes multiple event venues, scenic ponds, and lovely walking trails. We thoroughly enjoyed our daily walks with the dogs, which provided numerous photo opportunities. The park has an eclectic assortment of around 30 sites. If you need satellite hookup, stick to sites 1–23. If shade is your priority, check B1–3 or other spots near the office suitable for smaller rigs. We found WiFi and cellular service to be very good, so satellite wasn't necessary. Amenities include a small, relatively new playground and a nice pool (which we didn't use). We can't comment on the bathrooms or laundry facilities, as we didn't use them either. In terms of the actual sites, they are a little "meh." They are situated in a field with crushed gravel and sand, and we needed leveling blocks to get situated. Also, if you're seeking total tranquility, this may not be the place. Noise from planes, helicopters, trains, and city sirens is prevalent. However, we've found this to be common for RV parks in urban settings. Despite the basic sites and city noise, we truly enjoyed the farm atmosphere and the quick access to Savannah. It's a great base camp for exploring the city. We rate Red Gate Farms 4.5 out of 5. Connectivity (2 pm) - Verizon 1111.3 down/20.0 up; TMobile 736 down/ 9.44 up; Park WiFi 87.1 down/38.4 up

Getting There: Very easy access off the freeway.
Customer Service/Checking In: Staff was welcoming and helpful. They send texts for firewood delivery and upcoming events to make sure you don't miss out on any perks.
Site #: 19
Level: For the most part, just needed one block on the passenger side.
Electric/Water/Sewer: Everything worked great.
Noise Level: There is a bit of road noise from the freeway, but that's what you get for the easy access. It's not that bad though in comparison to other campgrounds we've stayed at.
Interior Roads: Sand and gravel. They can get a bit dusty, but are wide and free of potholes.
Pet Experience: There is a lot of common area and roadway to walk your dogs. They have pet waste stations scattered throughout as well.
Overall Pros: The property is beautiful with a lot of area to explore. Site 19 specifically is on the end, with a nice view of the lake. There are grocery stores and food nearby.
Overall Cons: Maybe just the road noise from the highway. As I mentioned before, it's not bad. But the park is wooded and peaceful and feels like all you should hear are sounds of nature. It's conflicting, haha.
Would I return: Absolutely!

This is the cutest place close to Savannah. Red Gate Farms offers campsites, trail rides, and a scenic wedding venue. The pool is covered and the pool temps were perfect in mid-August. The swings by the pool are amazing and nearly put me to sleep as soon as I laid down.
None of the sites are paved, but the grounds are well maintained and the staff is super nice. We'll certain be back.

My niece was married here in March . What an absolute beautiful setting for an intimate or large scale wedding, or any event really . The staff was amazing. Big shout out to Teresa Storm and her incredible staff. What a great team of professionals. And let’s not forget our little Bun Bun the Pony who was so kind as to bring us beer and take endless photos with the kids … All around a beautiful day. Thank you Red Gate for making it a special occasion.
