Hum, where to begin... The over all our 6 day trip was excellent, we were a little apprehensive about having to carry all our gear on the ferry, worrying about how that would work. It worked flawlessly, the crew were very helpful and very well organized. We chose to load all the odds & ends into two tote boxes, clothes for my wife & I into a large rolling duffel bag & 6 man tent on to a hand truck. With that setup we were able to roll the stack onto the ferry, navigate to the stern & set it there for the trip to the Island. The tote boxes were 31" x 20" x 14" which fit up the gang plank & down the deck with a little room to spare. For meals we brought a variety of freeze dried entrees but wished we had brought more real food as Ice was available from the ferry (get it on the morning run as it may run out in the afternoon). Campsite 6 was our home for the stay, it was reported to be small, only supporting one tent. When asked to clarify, mainland staff stated it would minimally support two four man tents. Once on site we found it will handedly supports a six man tent & a four man tent. Site 6 has an older fire ring, which when the grill grate is opened creates a tripping hazard. Another hazard is an old stump which we covered with the "accessible" end of the table. One surprise of site 6 was an orange tree with several oranges high up in the top. We managed to shake loose a couple & found them very tasty? Turns out, through out the Sea Camp site there are lots of citrus trees, orange, grapefruit & tangerines. Who knew there was such a thing as Georgia grown citrus??
With the ebb & flow of campers we were able to explore the other sites. The most private, completely hidden, was site 9, the least private was site 12 which has a path to the bathrooms through the middle of it. I doubt it will ever be used as a camping site. All in all sites 1 - 12 are fairly private, 13-16 less so....
Wish I had more than 2k characters, lots more to say....

Cumberland Island is always so relaxing and beautiful. We lucked out with perfect weather. Bring bug spray! The mosquitos where fierce.

Great hiking and camping, the issue we had was someone in our campsite when we showed up, someone else was in their camp site and we saw others doing same thing.

The density of the wildlife and beauty of the wilderness here has left me speechless. Truly, this park is on par with any redwood forest of Yosemite. I didn’t know we had such places in the Deep South.

Weather was beautiful. We camped at Stafford Beach, great location! We rode our bikes to Plum Orchard Mansion for a tour. Tons of beautiful scenery! We are already planning our trip back.
