My husband and I visited Little Saint Simon Lodge in late January 2026. We had a GREAT visit! The naturalists were super engaging; we participated in two outings a day with them. Special hats off to Eva and Adam! We learned about the island, wildlife and plants. My husband, a passionate lover of nature, was very impressed with the naturalist's knowledge. We loved the Slash Pine groves, Live Oak mottes, and Spanish moss. We loved riding the single gear bikes all over the island, walking to the beach, kayaking and my husband fished. The guest count was on the lower side since our visit was in the shoulder season. All guests were happy, having a good time, and super appreciative that lodges like this exist - where nature is seen at it's best. Finally, we loved the meals, family style. Great food, great staff - will come again!!

See below for details. It is pricey but has a ton to offer and the food is great. Reservations are tight as only 30 something rooms. Getting there is pretty easy. Boat ride is relaxing and steady/calm. Staring July or so many mosquitoes. They have. A lot of spray and nets and net ponchos.

We had such an amazing stay in early March, 2025. From Savannah, The Lodge at LSSI has been on our bucket list for some time. We loved the cottage we were assigned. Had a wonderful cottage mate. Enjoyed our daily nature tours to places of interest on the island. The Nature Staff is so well-informed. In early March, we were thankful for the gloves, hats and jackets we packed. The culinary and service staff did an amazing job with meals. Family-style meal seating allows guests to mingle over fine meals.
We enjoyed our stay so much, I rebooked the same suite for March, 2026.

Note to Mgmt: consider lowering the wattage of the bulbs in the dining room or adding dimmer switches that can be set for dinner.

This place is truly paradise on Earth—a beautifully preserved, naturally untouched island. It's a celebration of nature in all its glory, from the birds and fish to the insects, alligators, frogs, armadillos, and more. If you're fortunate, you can encounter them all. The long stretch of Atlantic Beach offers a perfect view for spotting dolphins and whales, which we were lucky to see nearly every time we biked or walked along the shore. The scenery is stunning at low tide as well. The sunsets are unforgettable, each one unique, capturing its own character and charm. It’s easily one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever witnessed. The naturalists on-site were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about their work. Their love for the island made them truly special. The food was a delightful adventure, with each meal offering a surprise—exciting and delicious every time.

This experience is a rare chance to step back in time and reconnect with nature. It's undoubtedly one of my favorite islands.

What an incredible place and experience. Every meal was delicious. All of the staff are warm and friendly. The naturalists are knowledgeable and patient. It felt like we were there at the perfect time of year: no bugs, pleasant temperatures, and lovely skies. Loved the easy access to bikes to explore the island. We were there for the holidays with our large family group and there was something for everyone.
