We booked this on a little weekend getaway with only one full day in the cabin.
The tiny house cabin was cute and cozy, my main complaint is the smell. It had to be the flooring, it was a weird rubbered carpet that was in the entire cabin, including the bathroom. Impossible to clean, had stains, and made the bathroom smell of urine. I’m pregnant so it was extra strong for me, my husband was only bothered by it slightly.
The bed was uncomfortable, could have used a thicker mattress so it didn’t feel like you’re sleeping on the platform. If you’re also pregnant, I wouldn’t book since it offers no support for hips and can be super painful.
The lantern over the bed did not work nor did our outside light.
It did have plates / cups / utensils. The heat worked well, and the fire pit area was nice.
If you have toddlers they will have you book the double bunk. I get it’s probably code but it’s not toddler friendly. We had to squeeze all four of us onto the bottom bed and bring in all of our bags (that we planned on leaving in the car) to block off each step on the stairs so they wouldn’t climb to the top. The ledge is open and there is a gap by the window that small kids can roll off of. Not their fault but not ideal so if you have small kids I would not recommend.
Bring extra towels for the bathroom and also to dry dishes if you plan on cooking.
We had plenty of hot water for each of us to shower after each other, both days while there.
You will not have service in the area until you get to the closest town which is 45 minutes away. Only inconvenient if your car breaks down like ours did, again, not on the cabin but a warning to anyone wanting to book in a remote area. It was a hassle to figure it out.
However, the seclusion is nice. The area is beautiful, and the people that live around there are super friendly. Special thanks to the couple that helped us get back to our cabin when our car got stuck at night 20 minutes away from our cabin.
Don’t expect much outside of the cabin other than your parking area and graveled fire pit. There is a trail but we did not go on it, we drove to ones nearby. Again, would not recommend for small kids because of this. I would probably come back when they’re older if they change out the flooring.

We really enjoyed our trip! The only issue was the door code. It didn't work. We had zero cell service for miles so we couldn't reach anyone to figure out the problem. Luckily, we came across an employee that gave us a second code to use which opened the door no problem. The cabin we got was located right next to another cabin. Like, sharing the same driveway. The other guests had to walk right past us to reach their cabin. As we sat at our fire pit we could hear them talking (and doing other things 🤭) from the inside of their cabin. Luckily my 11 year old wasn't outside at that time. So, not very much privacy. I did see that other cabins had more seclusion than the one we got. Overall we really loved this spot and hope to visit again.

Overall:
Disappointing. Getaway experience was much better before Marriott took over.
Cons:
- Check in process was difficult. Did not receive the cabin location or lock code and could not get in touch with staff for hours.
- Screen door broken.
- Unpleasant odor noticed as soon as we walked in, maybe from the AC unit.
- Used contact lenses found on the big window ledge.
- Lantern did not charge so we could not use it.
- Overall cleanliness and maintenance was not that great.
Pros:
- Decently secluded.
- Good for some fresh air.
- Staff tried their best when notified of issues.

We absolutely adored this little cabin! It was perfectly stocked with everything we could possibly need and more. (Note: I'm an over-packer, but I recommend bringing a few extra towels, toilet paper, and Brita water filter, as that was the only small thing I'm glad I brought.) The limited cell signal was just right—enough to text/call our teens and even scroll Instagram, but secluded enough to feel like a true escape. The destination fee is well worth it: the staff provides daily refreshers, including refilling snacks and delivering three bundles of firewood every day! The team was wonderful, exceptionally kind, and helpful throughout our stay. If you're looking for a genuine, relaxing experience away from the city, this is it. We're already booking our next stay at a different location!

The cabin and views are beautiful, and the on-site staff we eventually reached were kind. Unfortunately, the stay was overshadowed by preventable issues that other guests have reported for months and still have not been fixed.
We never received check-in instructions, and the phone number in our reservation routed to the Marriott main line, where no one could assist. We were redirected multiple times before finally getting the correct number by sheer luck. When we arrived—just before dark—there was no map or guidance on where the cabin was located, making it impossible to find. We had to turn back, locate the map at the entrance, take a photo, and try again. Once we finally reached our cabin, the door code did not work. The backup lockbox code also failed. A staff member eventually came with a second code, and we were finally able to enter.
Inside, we were immediately hit with an overwhelming fried-fish smell that never went away. We aired out the cabin, used our own odor eliminator, and even wiped under cabinets. The next morning we were given Odoban and, inexplicably, bug spray, but the odor persisted. With only one full day to relax, most of our time was spent trying to access the cabin or trying to make it tolerable.
What makes this more disappointing is seeing that other guests reported these same issues months ago. The location is wonderful and the cabin has potential, but repeated, unresolved problems made the experience far more stressful than enjoyable.
