Macks Creek Campground offers a beautiful and scenic location with great access to water activities and well-maintained facilities. Many visitors appreciate the friendly camp hosts, clean environment, and enjoyable experiences with family and friends. While some reviews mention the need for improved restroom facilities and occasional noise from other campers, overall, guests express a strong desire to return for future visits.

Wonderful sandy play area for children; we really appreciated the life jacket loaner board; docks were perfect for boats and just jumping off; tent areas were kept clean; camp host was friendly and accessible; It's an easy drive to Sandy Point by Lucky Peak and not far from Boise. We plan to go back again.

The campground host was excellent. He gave us junior ranger packets for the grandkids. It was late in the season so the lake was too low to go swimming at the beach.

The campground was neat and scenery was beautiful.
Please be aware, campers, that you'll turn off the 'main road' (don't remember which highway) and there's not a convenient 'last chance to get gas', so not knowing this, we were quite low on gas on our way back to that highway. We decided to stop at a marina and get a few gallons of gas, which was time consuming and costly though they were very friendly, and said it happens to people often.
Make sure your gas tank is filled well before you start to get close to the campground.

Nice quiet site not too far from Boise area. My kids really enjoyed the little swimming area. No water, electricity, or cell service (at least with our carrier) so come prepared.
