Macks Creek Campground offers a beautiful and scenic location with great access to water activities and well-maintained facilities. Many visitors appreciate the friendly camp hosts, clean environment, and enjoyable experiences with family and friends. While some reviews mention the need for improved restroom facilities and occasional noise from other campers, overall, guests express a strong desire to return for future visits.

I’ve stayed here twice now and I love it! The secluded, private beach area is perfect and the camp host takes great care of everything. It’s not that expensive and it’s a great location.

Easy check in, clean site, had fun. Only problem is the campsite host pressured us to leave a half hour before check out, even when it was clear that we were already loading up the car.

Always a wonderful location. I love that most sites have shade through out the day. I love that there is a launch ramp. I love that the water is right there and is a quiet part of the lake. I do wish some signs for hikes and trails were more visible. i enjoy a nice walk to the dam but would like markings to hike in the hills.
Bathrooms stay fairly clean.

We have enjoyed several trips to Mack’s Creek this summer. A few with family and some with friends.
Generally we go to the kids beach because of our grandchildren. This last trip with my friend was on the other side. I’m so impressed with the stairs! Didn’t know they were there. Thank you for making it much safer for us.

Arrived September 1st. A nice little spot that’s conveniently located a mere 30 minutes from Boise. We had the unfortunate luck of multiple 100 degree days which made it brutally hot with very little breeze.
Also pay attention to the Lucky Peak Lake drawdown notifications. The lake drops significantly in just two weeks and water access recedes hundreds of feet from camp vs right at your doorstep during July and early August. Best to stick to natural lakes vs managed reservoirs this late in the season.

Great sneak-away from the City. Gets real calm.
I'd use it if it was open longer.
