When we reserved this site we didn't know our grandson would be joining us with his car. When ne arrived he parked beside our truck. One side of his care was on the gravel next to the paved area. The campground worker came up to us and said he would have to have both sides of his car on the pavement. There was a gravel area on the opposite side of the truck from his car and I asked the worker if it would be alright for me to park my left side tires on the gravel. He said, "No the tires have to be on the pavement." Then he said,, "We mow this area." I said, "It's gravel, you don't mow this." He insisted that they did and then proceeded to tell me that the tires had to be on the pavement. Then he added, "The whole tire doesn't have to be on the pavement, as long as part of the rubber is on the pavement it's OK". So we complied. Then later, just before dark another attendant came and told my wife that the tires had to be completely on the pavement. I wasn't there but she said he was really snotty to her. And to be frank the attendant that talked to me was a little as well. We complied, but the attitude of the attendants left something to be desired. It in turned kind of made my attitude not so good. We love the campground location and the workers do a good job in keeping it looking nice. I just felt the manner in which they dealt with me, or my wife, was not the best. We left there saying to each other that there were other campgrounds that were very similar in price., that we didn't have to go back there again. We in fact checked out another campground while we were there. We've been to Huckleberry many times and as I said before love the location and love the river it is on. One of the comments my wife said was that we had never seen the campground with so many vacant sites in previous years. Could it be because of the public relations some of the staff are exhibiting. It could also be that the cost for seniors with the senior pass has more than doubled.
