Great place to stay when doing the Hiawatha Bike Route. No showers but there are showers available near by. Camping areas are very large.

Our site was clean and private! We loved our stay here. There were only pit toilets and no hook ups but we knew that and planned ahead. Would come again if we were in the area.

The campground was great! Very clean and the camp hosts were amazing. I spent three wonderful nights there and enjoyed it very much!

We just did a quick overnight stop. campsite was perfect - large enough for two cars and across from a very fresh smelling vault toilet. Pretty quiet at night too.

This campsite is an amazing location but that is all that it offers. There is no creek, only an incredibly dry, dusty and open field offering zero privacy or shade. The pump well for water is impossible to use without super human strength. I would not recommend.

Really clean pit toilets! Thanks to the hosts.
We were a little worried about mosquitoes when we saw the heavy vegetation, but it wasn't bad at all in late July.
The one complaint is that the only water source is a very stiff-handled pump which requires some strength and gymnastics to coordinate the "lift this while pumping" button as well as use two arms to pump! Fortunately a nice young man saw my troubles and came to help.

We really enjoyed our time at Beauty Creek Campground and the Coeur d'Alene area. The campground host was great. She was informative, had our reservation information right on hand, friendly and fun to talk to. The site was clean, the size was as advertised, flat driveway and in great shape. Now Beauty Creek was dry when we were there (August), but for us it wasn't a deal breaker because the lake is just down the road a couple miles. The hand pump for water does give you a workout for sure, but the water is clean and tastes good.

From Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, go east on I-90 to exit 22, then turn south on ID-97. Drive 2.5 miles to Forest Road 438 and turn left. Go one mile and look for signs.
Beauty Creek Campground is accessible via I-90, with exit 22 leading to ID-97 approximately 2.5 miles to the campground.
Elevation: 661 feet
12 mi drive to downtown Coeur d'Alene (about 20 min)
Policies & Rules
General
- Extra Vehicles: One vehicle is included in your single campsite fee. Each additional vehicle will be charged $10.00 per day fee. If that fee is not paid with your reservation, it will be collected on site (cash or check only). Maximum two vehicles per site.
- Bears frequent the area; all food must be kept in approved containers
- SCRS & Recreation.gov policy states we will keep your reserved site until your reservation is null and void and we will give it to first come first serve folks. Your reservation will be a no show and no refund will be given.
- The 14 day stay limit is strictly enforced. Camping for a period longer than 14 days during any 30-consecutive day period is prohibited. If you have booked back-to-back reservations, you will be asked to cancel all days after the first 14.
- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- The road leading to Beauty Creek has a number of pot holes. Please use caution when driving on this road.
