Nice sites. Our original site must have been close to a yellowjacket nest as we had them surrounding our van soon upon arrival - they seemed to be attracted to the bugs on our car even. The camp host was very accommodating and understanding and let us move to one of the first come first serve sites int he open field area to get away from them.

Quiet, secluded campsite #13 beyond larger group sites. Surrounded by tall pines. Moderate smoke from August 2021 Canadian fires. Spectacular drive to the campground along the lake.

The description of the campground was not up to date. The creek doesn't flow in the summer time at all and has not for years. The only source of water was one hand pump for the entire campground. It appeared they had another but it was disconnected and not working.
I will say the camp hosts were awesome, friendly and helpful. The vault toilets' were clean and well kept. The campground was quiet and peaceful, with each site having ample room and privacy.

The grounds were clean and very well kept up. I wish they had more spots or a better reservation system. But it was a great experience.

We were a bit underwhelmed by our visit. The site just seemed not too well taken care of... We know it's camping and all, but it just had an unexpected "dirty" feel. I expect bugs while camping, but there were a lot of specifically flies. It probably didn't help that we were close to the vault toilets (lot 009). My fiance, who likes to go to "man camp" and usually isn't picky about toilets did not even want to use it. We left before our reservation ended to find a hotel because when the wind blew towards us, our camping spot would smell awful. We were told by some local campers that this spot is more of a spot people just pass through and spend a night when they need to, and that the place used to be nicer.
So basically, if you need to sleep somewhere for one night this might be fine for you, otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it. I would avoid camping close to any restrooms there.

They camp hosts were very kind, beautiful mornings, even though no running water the bathrooms were very very clean, loved how it was close to town but still felt secluded. Great access to the lake, the only issue is the tent sites have no privacy and the ground was quite rocky. We had an air mattress and rainfly so we were fine but I could see it being an issue for others

Big beautiful campsites with lots of trees and privacy. Fairly narrow raod for angling trailers into sites. Ours is only 16" and it was tricky. There is no sign for Forest Road 438. At about 2.3 miles off I-90 there is a brown National Forest sign and then an unmarked road to the left to the campground. If you cross the water you have gone too far.

Beautiful setting. Campsites were well maintained. It is busy with campers coming and going and the road above the camp ground. But, once nightfall hit and off to bed, it was a quiet night. This was a one night stopover on our road trip and was just right.
