I do not typically leave reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience in this case.We made last-minute reservations for two spots at the RV park, and Nicki, the owner, was very pleasant and accommodating when taking my payment. However, after the payment was processed, my experience changed significantly. When I later called to obtain the address and reservation details—having received no confirmation—I was told that no reservation existed under my name and that I must have contacted the wrong location.
After confirming with my credit card company that a $280 payment had been processed, I called back to provide this information. I was told I would receive a return call once they located the payment, but I never did and had to follow up myself.
We were planning to travel over 300 mi to attend nearby boat races. When it became clear that the weather forecast was unfavorable, I contacted Nicki again. Although I understood the reservation was non-refundable, I respectfully asked whether any form of credit for a future stay might be considered given the circumstances. At this point, I found her demeanor to be extremely rude and unprofessional, which was particularly disappointing given that she is the owner. I was told there was nothing that could be done, that she had no control over the weather, and that she “needed to make money.” I was also told that forecasts often predict rain that does not occur, despite an 85% chance of rain, strong winds, and temperatures around 61 degrees. I want to clarify that my rating reflects customer service only, as we did not ultimately stay at the park and cannot speak to the facilities. In my opinion, the level of professionalism, communication, and follow-through fell short of expectations.
As a business owner, it is important to handle situations with courtesy and professionalism, regardless of the outcome.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively and helps improve future customer experiences.
