The drive was harrowing but exciting! This was our second visit to Atlanta, the first about 13 years ago, and we were surprised by the growth. The cabin is in a nice location, but the bed could use replacing. It was very uncomfortable. Rustic would be a nice way to describe it, but I would probably go with old and run down. I was sort of wishing we'd decided to camp in our own tent. That opinion changed the next morning when we found bear clawmarks at every door handle of our truck. Fortunately we had locked it! Smart bear.
All in all, our trip was fun. We were worried about having enough gas to get back, and someone directed us to a gentleman in a trailer who sold it to us for $5/gal. We were happy to get it! I love adventures, and this was one. We will return but stay in our tent or some other cabin.

The cabin is very well equipped. If we would have known so much was there, we could have left half the equipment home. We had a great time visiting the local hot springs and playing games at night. Wish we could have spent more nights. We are already planning another trip to go back.
