About Edna Creek Campground

Edna Campground is located 56 miles northeast of Boise, Idaho, in a scenic Ponderosa Pine forest along Highway 21 at an elevation of 5,700 feet. Historic Idaho City is just 18 miles south. Excellent campground with clean toilets. Each site has a flat tent pad for small or large tents. They also have a flat area with a picnic table, cook table, and a top grade fire pit! Everything was perfect and we'll gladly come back to this campground again!

We camped at site 9 and were pleased with the site. The creek ran next to our camp site and there was sufficient shade. The general campground was small and that was pleasant. There were several walking and hiking paths.

Close to crooked river trail head.
Bathrooms and potable water in campground.
Appreciate the metal platform near fire pit as a good place to use your Coleman stove.
Appreciate the grill grate over the fire pit: you can use the handle to move it and your food either over or away from the flames.

I've been camping here for 10+ years. The last year or two they made "improvements" to the campground. The new bathrooms are very nice and a definite improvement. On the downside, they added more campsites, cut down a lot of trees and moved picnic tables much closer to road so there is far less privacy and shade than before. That said it's still a nice campground and I've never had a bad experience.

Arrived on Monday of holiday weekend. The toilet area was especially fowl smelling….depite being so new.
Rock/bolder placements still making backing in trailer very tricky
