I arrived pretty late in the night unfortunately and only planned on using it for a place to sleep. I blame myself for arriving late but when I found my spot, someone was camping in it already. I checked th information board and it was out-dated so I assume those people thought it was open. Since it was so late I didn’t want to wake up a bunch of people so I took an open spot. The campground was really clean and well maintained though from using the bathroom and walking a little in the morning.

This is a clean, nice camping area, well maintained. We had some confusion on our reservations on the day of arrival, and a quick call to the ranger station fixed it. The staff came out, found us a new campsite and all was well. The Idaho City Ranger staff are extremely professional and competent. USFS employees do not get the credit they deserve for providing to our nation's playgrounds. And lastly, great views of surrounding mountains. Will be booking again here soon. Thank you USFS!

Nice sites. Wooded, clean pit toilets. Convenient to Idaho city and an easy drive down into the Boise area.

My family and I love this camping site! My kids get to ride their bikes, we get to get in the steam just down the entrance and have the best time!

Beautiful small campground under towering Ponderosa pines. No water or power at sites. The pump near our site was not working, but another camper found one some distance away. Vault toilet was fine; I appreciated the door bolt. Some shade. These sites work best for tent campers and trailers 23' or smaller. Park Pass accepted. Reservable.

I loved the spot we were on. We were close to the bathroom, and it was so beautiful. The only problem was when I couple with her.Two boys came on saturday and woke up chopping wood at seven in the morning and left the toilet seat up.So it stunk in there, because you're supposed to leave the toilet seat down. They don't know the rules to camping, and it kind of put a squash on everybody else there. Otherwise the place was beautiful. It didn't have a lake very close by.But if you want to just sit under the trees and relax, it was beautiful.

Nice quiet spot, just far enough out of the way. Lots of toilets and kept in good condition.

This is a beautiful campground with very clean bathroom/pit toilets. It was peaceful and had plenty of walking and hiking access points. It was well worth a 30 mile off route stop over.
