I’ve been coming to this campground for decades. How disappointing it has become. The cost has gone way up (that has happened everywhere so no huge deal). But, what does that extra money do? The roads are full of potholes and now there are camp hosts in every loop. I watched these people harass several groups of campers. It was worse than an hoa. It makes total sense to yell at campers about letting their five year old ride an electric dirt bike around the loop… especially when camp host chases them down on a golf cart. The kids wasn’t hurting a thing and I guarantee no one complained.

The fire pits in the camps had inches of fine dirt all around. It was like walking on the moon. It wouldn’t be difficult to use some of the camp fees to put down a layer of gravel. It would be cleaner and safe. I could tell it had been done before, but it was a long time in the past, probably several years.

The river used to be teaming with wildlife; fish, otter, beaver, and countless variety of birds. Not anymore. Over the years, mismanagement has caused everything to move on. So sad.

At least the vault toilets were clean. I have two stars for that.

Great location. Don’t forget to plan on floating the river while you are there.

Good place to camp. Flush toilets they used to have were much nicer. New toilets could use some lights and at least hand sanitizer. Host Helen was a great host!
