We used Buffalo as a base camp for visiting Yellowstone. It was the nearest available place we could find with electric hookups. It was excellent for us. Its quiet, beautiful, and the hosts were very nice. I would recommend it to anyone. The drive to yellowstone takes about an hour but it was worth it.

My husband and I were looking for a getaway for our anniversary and since air travel is difficult we opted for the trailer adventure. Love Buffalo campground. It was awesome. The bathrooms were clean. The weather was a bit chilly at night but days were fabulous. We saw a lot of wildlife in the park and that was great. It was a fantastic adventure.

From Ashton, Idaho: Take U.S. Highway 20 north for 25 miles. The campground entrance is .25 miles north of Ponds Lodge on the east side of the highway.

0.3 mi drive to downtown Island Park (about 1 min)
