Camp Host Steve was the biggest douche bag I've ever dealt with in Island Park. Not friendly, drive around at night with no lights on his golf cart, come into our camp unexpectedly at night while we were having a campfire to discuss rules. You need to give this guy a job out in the desert in the summertime where nobody goes. We had over (10) spots and never in my life have people gone home early due to the camp host being a total prick but plenty from our group did. Good luck with Camp Host Steve.

It was easy to get parked as most sites were pull thrus, had nice space between campers. The camp host was great, we had a good time!

We had a nice stay. The restrooms were very clean. Access to Buttermilk is best via the paved road that takes you to Lakeside Lodge, even though there are no signs to direct you. Do not take the dirt road #126.

What a wonderful campground! You are surrounded by a beautiful pine forest, and the reservoir is just 2 minutes away. We stayed here for 5 days with an RV at the end of August-beginning of September, and we enjoyed every minute of it. The host was very kind and informed us about everything we needed to know. The campground didn't have water hookups, but other than that, it was really nice all around.
