The camp hosts were friendly and the facilities were clean. Though near the highway, it was quiet and peaceful. The campsite was cleaned and raked before we arrived.

The camp ground is a five star rating; however, it is located next to (100 feet) the main highway between West Yellowstone, MT and Ashton, Idaho. You hear all the traffic noise...all the time. There is a small highway grade passing the campground and the semi-trucks are giving the diesel pedal all they have. Upper Coffee Pot campground is 1 1/2 miles away and is better IF YOU CAN GET RESERVATIONS six months in advance! I mean SIX MONTHS to the day because people starting calling as soon as reservations open. If you don't mind the road noise, Flat Rock is a great place to stay and close enough to Yellowstone Park without taking your banker with you on your trip...20 minute drive to Yellowstone. Cheaper than West Yellowstone and Yellowstone National Park.
