What Guests Are Saying
Mccrea Bridge Campground is well-maintained with clean facilities, friendly camp hosts, and excellent access to Henry's Fork, making it a pleasant place to stay. Reviewers appreciated the quiet atmosphere, especially in more secluded areas, and the campground's overall cleanliness. However, some noted road noise from nearby highways and strict campground rules as minor drawbacks.

Campsite 16 had excellent access to the water and great afternoon shade. This time of year it wasnβt too buggy. The boat dock area was very busy during the day, but the early am and later pm made for some peaceful water time.

Great little campground. Nice hosts, very clean restrooms, and great place to tent camp. I would definitely stay there again.

The McCrea Bridge camp area is exceptionally clean and comfortable. The site had a designated large, level tent area along with plenty of space for a camper and vehicle. Each site has a large picnic table, plus two small metal work tables and a bear box to allow for easy and safe outdoor cooking. Some sites are closer to the road with some traffic noise, but not too busy at night. The camp hosts were very friendly and well informed us of the area rules related to bear safety. This site is convenient to the local reservoir and 45 minutes from West Yellowstone and the national park. It was a great 'home base' for adventures into the national park and hiking in Idaho.

Spacious sites that are not crowded. The sites are level and outlined with treated 4x4s. There are two steel stands for either a portable grill or to cook with a dutch oven on. There are three restrooms that are always kept spotless. The USFS and the campground contractor have been successful in keeping ATVs and motorcycles out of the CG so it is nice and quiet. The CG lies next to the tail end of the reservoir that provides opportunities to fish and boat. Late in the irrigation season the lake drops so that the river next to the CG retreats to its original banks. Plenty of trees provide both shade and shelter from the wind. Occasionally a moose or deer will wander through camp. There are about six first come sites on the A loop that are rarely full. This is one of our fav campgrounds.

We stayed 5 days for our visit to Yellowstone that is 30 min drive, the campsite was big, clean pit toilets and you could get wood with the hosts that are really nice.
You can hear the cars on the road but besides that itβs a really nice place to stay.
The closest place we got full coverage to work was the gas station 10 min away. At the campsite worked partially.
