What Guests Are Saying
The North Fork campground is well-kept, featuring clean facilities and friendly hosts who provide excellent service. Campers appreciate the beautiful scenery, privacy between sites, and the proximity to both nature and nearby amenities in Ketchum. While there is some road noise, it tends to decrease at night, allowing for a peaceful experience overall.

We had a wonderful time in North Fork Campground. The host, Jane, was very friendly and made sure everyone was taken care of well. The campground was well-kept and most of the sites were quite private (i.e. couldn't see other campsites). If we are in the neighborhood we will certainly camp there again.

Been to the campground several times and as always, it was well maintained. Bathrooms clean. Pressurized water. No trash. Host was friendly.
This was the first year I experienced mosquitoes at the campground. Heard they got flooded in the spring and it caused more mosquitoes than usual. Not a fault of the campground but something to be aware.

This is a beautiful, forested campground on the Big Wood River, and campground manager Jane is an awesome, cheerful, helpful, knowledgeable human being that makes everyone feel welcome.
Pros:
-Most sites are spacious and far apart. Serendipitously we camped in site 22, the site closest to the river, the past two years. The sound of the river is balm to the soul. Wade in if you like it "refreshing!"
-The campground is at the beginning of the 31 km Harriman Trail that runs all the way up to Galena Lodge.
- From this central location, you can be in town in Ketchum in 10 minutes for restaurants and shopping, or hike and bike for days in the many gulches and trails nearby.
- The pit toilet bathrooms are probably cleaner than your bathroom at home (thanks, Jane!) and smell pleasant!
Cons:
- No cell phone service - but there is signal across the road down the way from the SNRA headquarters
- No hookups for camper/RV (not much of a con though :)
Thanks, Jane, U.S. Forest Service, SNRA, Recreation.gov and Blaine County Recreation district!

The camp host is the best. She was proactive in helping us find a camp site.
The camp sites are suited for RVs, and not well suited for tents.

My Sis and I stayed here 10th to 13th July. It was a nice quiet campground. The camp host was very friendly and the bathrooms were kept clean. I do however think the vegetation could be cut back at some of the campsites just a little more without damaging the look of nature. Other than that, we had a great time there.
