Fairly secluded campground a little ways off the highway. Friendly camp host, clean restrooms, and there are dumpsters near the entrance so you don’t have to carry trash all the way home. There are hot springs very close by, which are a huge bonus to this location.

We love Dog Creek. It's quiet and peaceful and we enjoy even though it's a very small campground that you can still reserve a spot; most other small Forest Service campgrounds in Idaho tend to be first-come sites. We liked hearing the creek from the campground and Site 2 is spacious and set off from neighboring sites.

This is in response to Angela M from earlier this summer. This is the "buddy" you were referring to. If the restrooms are out of toilet paper, please contact the camp host. He's more than willing to help with the problem. I don't use the public toilets in the campground. My little camper has a toilet and shower and keeps me satisfied. So, there is no 'buddy" hookup with toilet paper going on in Dog Creek.
I camped in Dog Creek all summer long and look forward to coming back next year. The camp host does a great job in Dog Creek.

The host never checked the bathrooms to refill the toilet paper. There was a group of 6, a group of 5 and two groups of two sharing a bathroom that DISNT HAVE toilet paper for over 24 hours. I saw the camp host driving around. There was plenty of toilet paper in the farthest bathroom where the camp hosts “buddy” was camping at. Why pay for camping if you can’t use the amenities?

Great campground. Easy to get to and close to Pine/Anderson Ranch. The bathrooms were especially clean. The campsites are a little close together and to the campground road, but not a big deal.

The campsite was so uneven I had to dig holes for my rv tires on one side and use most of my leveling blocks under tires on the low side. There was a large group camped outside the campground that used a UTV to shuttle people in to use the toilets and used all the tissue in one day. One camper used a gas chainsaw to cut firewood at his site. I could go on.

This campground is so nice and quiet. It was my 2nd time visiting. The host was respectful as well as the other campers. No hookups and it can get pretty dusty, but it's beautiful and a short drive to Anderson Ranch Res. and the little store in Pine if you need anything. Tons of butterflies and hummingbirds, so bring a hummingbird feeder if you want some entertainment. The "group" spots are not typical group spots as they are very small. We stayed at one and our 20 ft. trailer and F250 took up the entire parking area, so just be advised before heading up if you book one of those sites - you'd be better off having anyone with a trailer get their own site. This campground will be added to our summer rotation. We loved it.

#12 space was quite tight for our rig and side by side. We made it work, but I would choose number 13 next time -more room. The host was great and accommodating.
