Beautiful area with creaks, lakes, rivers, and forest all around! Do plan ahead of having no service through the whole town

My favorite campground. Easy access for tent campers and smaller vehicles. Quiet during the week. Saw deer come thru the campground and had nightly camp visitor come looking for food (skunk). She was not disturbed by us at all. Cleaned up our dog food that had been left on the ground. Loved watching the chipmunks coming into camp daily as well.

We always enjoy Dog Creek in the fall, after school is back in session. It's quiet and relaxing.

Beautiful location in the Ponderosa pines with space between campsites. Well maintained toilets. Near Trinity Hot Springs.

We had an amazing time at Dog Creek Campground. To make things even better, we were the only ones at that location given the time of year, and closing of the camp by the end of that week. The camp ground maintenace crew, led by Grace and her team mate were exceptional and the place was spotless, just like a military barracks to include spit shined outhouse floors. We could not have asked for a better experience in trying out our new Winnebago, GL Van. The site (5) backed up to a running creek and had plenty of room for us to navigate without having to be right up against some potential neighbors. The area itself is peaceful, quiet, and a great place simply to meditate and explore some of the local trails. So if you are looking for tons of excitement and endless entertainment, I would suggest going elsewhere; however if you are looking for a quiet place to recharge and simply relax. This is it. Also we did take our starlink mini out and it performed pretty well, despite the tree cover; at least we could text and get emails, and watch utube leveraging their buffering capability. I would have gone totally unteathered; however, still doing some consulting work, post retirement, so this came in handy and allowed me to work in a very beautiful remote environment.
