I always love going to the “mud hole“ I’ve been going up there since I was a young person and now I’m 71 years old. I always appreciate the cleanliness of the campground and the restrooms. The park help is friendly. I went during the week this time and it was extremely quiet and peaceful.

Very friendly park, lovely walking paths, plant life and mushrooms. Hot showers, plenty of space to roam. Challenging if you need your solar panels to work, Beautiful dense old forest.

Great place for camping! Sites were recently redone so they're all gravel, level, and pretty big with a picnic table and fire ring. There are several water spigots throughout and a central bathroom with free hot showers and a dishwashing station. The waterfront park is large, clean and plenty of parking. The launch ramp is pretty narrow with a small turnaround so would be difficult if you're trying to launch with a big rig. Highway noise is close but not too bad. Hosts were awesome and have firewood to buy ($7). Stargazing event was a little lame, but I appreciate the effort. I would definitely camp here again.
