Very nice well maintained campground. Unfortunately the hiking trail has not been maintaied, there are a few downed trees crossing the trail and a major washout at about .8 mi out from the campground which prevented us from reaching the trail end at the group camp.
Unfortunately lake access is difficult at best, unless you are boating. We did manage to find a couple spots for the dogs to go for a swim, but tricky to get down to the (at least for us bipeds).
All in all though, a pleasant place to camp if just want to relax or boat.

My comments are regarding my reservation for 8/6 - 8/9. Due to the smoky conditions, and one of my camping group having asthma, we decided to cancel our reservation on 8/5. The weather predicted some breeze that could have reduced the smoke. I called on 8/5 and a woman at the visitor center confirmed the conditions had not changed (she was super understanding). We had been very excited about this camping trip. I am aware of the normal cancelation policy. I had hoped that due to the extenuating circumstances, I would receive a full refund. That is not what happened. This was very disappointing. Camping at Dent Acres has always been wonderful but I won't return. Was $35 really worth disappointing an otherwise happy customer?

This is a beautiful, well maintained campground. It is very family friendly; with a playground and plenty of space to run. We definitely enjoyed the water access. The park is surrounded by beauty. We would definitely recommend this campground to families, retirees and fishermen of all ages.
It is a long drive from Orofino to the campground with a lot of twists and curves as well as steep ups and downs. Be prepared for the 19 mi to take at least 45 minutes. But it's worth the journey.

They need to have a swimming place in the pictures online it showed kids jumping in the water off of the dock so we brought our floats and swimming stuff told the kids they were going to get to swim.?we got there and there were signs saying no swimming no wading. We were extremely disappointed in that. But every other thing was amazing.

Awesome clean place. Very clean and worm lake. Road to the campsite a little steep, but it is worth it. Family friendly place. Highly recomended

If you want to swim, there is a cove right next to the boat dock with stairs going down to the water.
