About Morgan Bar Campground
Morgan Bar Campground offers RV-friendly and tent campsites with group facilities and a boat ramp. The site is adjacent to the Salmon River with a magnificent eastern view of the Beaverhead Mountains. The site was formally homesteaded by the Morgan family and still has a remnant orchard. A trail winds around a wetland pond and along almost a mile of the Salmon River's west bank.

Campground was tidy and neat. Just a few miles out of Salmon ID. Convenient to the town.

Very quiet, next to the fast moving river. Only one other camper. Isolated. Water and toilets were a ways away but we had what we needed. Dirt road in was quiet and smooth for dirt. It is a mile or two of dirt road.

Location & Directions for Morgan Bar Campground
1206 S Challis St, Salmon, ID 83467 United States
Elevation: 1,172 ft
Getting There
Take Highway 93 North from Salmon, ID for 3.5 mi. Turn left at the Lemhi County Fairgrounds and follow the signs for about 1 mi down the Diamond Creek Road. The site is on the right between the Diamond Creek Road and the Salmon River.
Highway access
Morgan Bar Campground is accessed via Highway 93, which is approximately 3.5 miles south of the campground.

- The campground has first-come, first-served sites.
- Be bear aware; keep all food out of sight in approved containers or locked inside your vehicle and remove all food from area after eating.
- No electric, water, or sewer hookups at this campground.
- Livestock and firearms prohibited in campground.
- Don't Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal in some states. Visit dontmovefirewood.org to learn more.
