What Guests Are Saying

Green Bay Campground is a beautiful, well-maintained tent-only site with friendly hosts and great access to the water. While some visitors experienced issues with communication and privacy, many appreciated the scenic beauty and tranquility of the area. It’s advisable to be prepared for carrying gear to your site, but overall, it offers a lovely outdoor experience.

This is a tent only campground. 10 am checkout is way too early!

We reserved a spot for a 4 day period in mid-August. The day before we were to go, we were told by a friend of my husband that the fire marshall had come in on the Friday before to close it for the remainder of the year due to a wild fire south of Green Bay. Normally, this wouldn't be an issue, however, we never received a notification of this event happening before, at time of reservation or to date! Only because we were notified by an outside source did we look online to see that the entire Sagle area was closed down. We ended up going to Fernan and back down to the Cd'A River. When we returned to civilization, we received a notification (this was days after) that a refund would be received. They did not refund the full amount, even though we didn't cancel or not show up, which to me seemed wrong. A portion was refunded, but never a email notification. We were really let down by the entire experience. We may try it next year, earlier in the Summer but it left a bad taste in our mouths. Not certain it is really up and running smoothly with the reservation system. Be cautious and stay aware because they won't notify you!

Well maintained sites and pathways, bring a wagon or something to carry stuff down, unless you want to make a lot of trips up and down a hill. Sites are very close and not very private.

Beautiful spot. Not a bad site in the whole campground. Host was very friendly and welcoming. Spot #2 had great access to the water. We did lose the sun a bit earlier than other sites further down the beach. Great paths to get to the site.

When we arrived there were people in our spot when they left there was lots of trash and dead fish. I’m am glad however that it is a reservation spot and wish there were more signs.

Campground really nice! Person next to us had vicious dog on chain. Two separate cars in lot with women sleeping in their cars. One had two unleashed barking dogs. Host never came around, hiding out in his van. Great campground but needs supervision.

Beautiful camp site. Nice to be so close to the lake. Our spot was private compared to others. Only drawback is having to walk your things from the car to your site but it was worth it!

Beautiful place to relax! There’s little coves you can explore if you’re good at walking over some rock ledges.
