Great place to visit. The insects population worried me at first but they were primarily non biting, at least for me and a wonderful food supply for the bird population. I stayed my full allotment of days and actually came back for a few days at the end of the season. Hope to visit again some day

First time here and we were happily surprised at the amount of wild life. We took kayaks and bikes but spent the majority of our time on the reservoir. The bad is cell reception is sparse and shade is minimal but the camp sites are well spaced. Water was available at a few spots and there is a dump site and water on a separate loop. Great place to get away from things. Lower loop is power and the upper loop is more primitive. The pavilion has horseshoes and pits as well as a large sandbox. There is a walkway down to the lake but it looks like it's used for a lot of drinking evidenced by the amount of glass. The first boat ramp sees moderate usage so we went to the second further west that was used sparsely. We paddled out to the larger island just shy of 4 miles. 2-6 in the afternoons water is a bit more wind affected like most of Idaho. We will be back.

Best night sky view ever as there is very little on the horizon obstructing view. It was also one of the quietest nights I've had, sans some wildlife. Not sure if there is much to do there in the daytime. Facilities were clean.
