Blackfoot Reservoir Campground offers beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and a friendly host. Many visitors enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, wildlife sightings, and great amenities for a low price. However, some concerns were raised about the online reservation system, limited cell service, and issues with reserved sites. Overall, the campground is a charming getaway with potential areas for improvement.

This is a great spot that has lake access, spots that have electricity, potable water outlets sprinkled thru the park…and a dump site. Beautiful water views from every spot at $20 a night…hard to beat. And it’s only 13 mi from Soda Springs should you need to run into town. Only criticism I have is the pavilions at each site have sparrow nests, with sparrows zipping in and out feeding their chicks. Me…I didn’t care, but some might with the bird droppings covering the picnic table…and the dive bombing birds. I saw some folks dropping the nest, but with chicks inside, I declined. Also…the non-electric sites at great, situated on top of the hill will unobstructed views! I’ll be back!!

There are swallow nests under most of the picnic shelters. Be prepared to be pooped on!

The barn swallows made the picnic table complete unusable as they nested under the table shelter and pooped everywhere. The reservation system for first come first serve site was a joke. There were so many problems it would take pages to recount all of them. On the bright side Robin the camp host was great. He tried to help as best he could with the online reservation system, but it was more than he was able to handle.

The new online payment is confusing and hard to use where wifi is barely available.
