Very friendly Host, clean campsite, great view of the lake. Quiet except for the atv's and dirt bikes running through. We really enjoyed our stay.

Blackfoot Reservoir Campground offers beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and a friendly host. Many visitors enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, wildlife sightings, and great amenities for a low price. However, some concerns were raised about the online reservation system, limited cell service, and issues with reserved sites. Overall, the campground is a charming getaway with potential areas for improvement.

Great spot ! No mature trees but it pretty high in elevation. Really nice host, fellow AZans. You can’t beat the price!

We camped at Blackfoot Reservoir for 2 weeks primarily to fish in the reservoir. The CG has about a dozen sites with power and then some primitive sites nearby. Water spigots to fill your tank are located around the sites but no dedicated water hookup for each site. Tall grasses and shrubs border each site, but the trees are small and infrequent. Each site has a picnic table and a very nice shade shelter over the table. Unfortunately, birds have built nests along the rafters making the picnic table and only shady area unusable due to droppings and feathers all over. It was disgusting. The weather was quite windy so we could not use our awning. Two boat ramps are available at the CG and there is plenty of shoreline to enjoy the lake and fish. The camp host didn't do much that we could see. A BLM employee cleans the outhouses and reservations are all self serve. Not sure why they even had a host, they weren't even at their site about half the time.

Beautiful area. Several moose families gave us visits and were fun to watch. The swallow nests were knocked down from the table shades which made them usable. Sites were clean.

Place was very clean and well equipped. We had a LOT of rain and there was no flooding or mud puddles. It was set up to drain without bothering the campers. We will definitely stay there again!
