What Guests Are Saying
Alturas Lake Inlet is a beautiful lakeside campground set against the picturesque Sawtooth Mountains, featuring clean facilities and attentive camp hosts. The campground offers ample space and privacy, with easy access to the lake for swimming, fishing, and hiking. While it can get crowded on weekends and mosquitoes are prevalent, many guests find it well worth the trip for the stunning scenery and overall enjoyable experience.

Location was nice place camphost was basically MIA. Cars speeding through the campground. I think I saw the park coast once driving through the campgrounds on a three night stay I contacted him four times to try and get my day pass for the lake finally on the fourth time, he filled one out for me

Beautiful setting, excellent camp host. But the amount of generators is astounding for tent campers or those who enjoy quiet time in nature.

We loved site 16! It was very large and accommodated our few tents nicely. It’s close to the restrooms and trash without being too close.

We went in mid-June. The campground was really quiet. As everyone else said, the bathrooms were really clean. The Camp attendant was super help and always around to answer questions. The campground has many bathrooms and water stations.
The lake level was pretty high and the river was moving pretty fast. So it was harder to fish on foot. Luckily we had a kayak and paddleboard. Caught some really nice fish. Kokanee, Rainbows and Bulls.
We had a deer visit our campsite one of the mornings!
We originally booked site 2 but it wouldn't have fit our (large) tent very well. so we took one of the other available sites, site 10.
The weather was amazing, the campground was clean, the lake was beautiful.
We drove by Redfish on the way out. While the Sawtooths towering over the lake are beautiful, I much prefer the quiet solitude at Alturas lake.
