Sunny Gulch Campground is highly praised for its cleanliness, spacious sites, and excellent camp host who provides helpful information and a friendly atmosphere. The location is ideal, offering proximity to Redfish Lake while maintaining a peaceful environment. While there are occasional noises from nearby roads and the water may be slightly cloudy at first, overall experiences highlight the campground as a favorite for its beauty and amenities.

Campground is close to the main road. It does have some nice upper level sites. Flush toilets would be nice. Train your camp hosts better.

Sunny Gulch is the best! Nice and chill this weekend, with some thunderstorms passing through. Site 26 is off all by itself which is great for privacy, but tenters be aware there is almost no shade for the tent pad or picnic table.

We stayed at several different sites at Sunny Gulch during a week exploring the Sawtooths. Levonn and her dog Bella were friendly hosts and the campground was really clean (including the bathrooms). The day use area has a large covered pavilion which we used one to make breakfast one morning when it was rainy. There's a stream running alongside the campground and it was refreshing to dip my feet in after a long day of hiking. Each campsite we stayed at had some amount of shade at various points in the day, but overall the sites are pretty exposed to the sun. You can hear road noise from many of the sites but there wasn't much traffic when we were there in late August, so it wasn't an issue for us.

Terrific views of mountains and river, super nice campground hostess, quiet, they offer free passes for daily parking at nearby Red Fish Lake.

Most of the reserve sites are singles. It would be great if they would allow a couple more double sites to be reservable as there were so many no-shows in sites

What a beautiful setting. Trees and a great view of the mountains especially in the early morning when the sun is lighting up the Sawtooths. Good space between your neighbors. There was a pump water faucet near our site. Sites were level. We were in site 29 and liked the campground so much we stayed an additional 2 nights. Site 30 had more privacy but both were great. Paul the new camp host was great. Hard worker.

We had a lovely campsite in Sunny Gulch. Nice views of the Sawtooths from our campsite, the bathrooms were the cleanest of any campground I have ever been to (and that's a lot).

Beautiful campground with very close proximity to Redfish Lake. The host who was managing the park was one of the most thoughtful people I’ve ever met in this job. He went out of the way to make sure the campers were comfortable. He even came and spoke to us about a nearby camper who needed to run his generator for his wife’s oxygen/ cpap. Knowing why there was a generator on continuously soothed my irritation with their noise. My husband says the water pump next to the host site should be replaced. It took over 30” to pump 4 Gallons of water. Also it would have been helpful if the information about dump sites and where our water tank could be filled. We finally asked the host where and he told us about the large dump site with potable water at the Ranger’s station. This information should be posted. There were no sign indicating the dump station even existed there. We had to go in and find it.

We stayed 2 nights at Sunny Gulch site #23. Nice level site with lots of room for our 31' TT + F250. Easy in and out from the highway, a little tight driving through the campground but not bad. We thoroughly enjoyed the campground. We did not have a great view of the mountains from our site but there are many places in the campground that had views. The sites were spaced out to give you your space. It has good walking areas for a dog. The whole Sawtooth Mt area is very nice. We drove around some of the other campgrounds and was glad we picked this one for less traffic and less people, during the time we were there.
