We were very impressed the with attention to detail and small touches that made our stay an enjoyable one. They took the time to plan the layout of the park to make it as easy as possible to park and set up. The grounds are well maintained with very pretty flowers, the pool is pristine, and there is a small playground for children. The bathrooms are spacious and well kept; the women's room has a washer and dryer for guest use (there is a small fee associated). I also like that a door code is required for entry into the bathrooms. For those with pets, there are multiple places throughout the park to dispose of pet waste and they are clearly marked. We would definitely stay here again.

The park is clean, quiet, and very well cared for, with a calm country setting that makes it easy to slow down and reset. The sites are spacious, level, and easy to access, making setup simple for both short stays and longer visits. Whether you’re passing through Illinois or staying a while, it feels welcoming and stress-free.

The full hookup sites (water, electric, and sewer) are reliable and well spaced, and the grounds are clearly maintained with pride. You can tell the owners care deeply about keeping everything neat and functional, from the roads to the common areas.

What really stands out here is the peace and quiet. No heavy traffic noise, no chaos—just a relaxed campground atmosphere surrounded by open Midwest scenery. It’s the kind of place where evenings feel slow, calm, and comfortable.

Stop late one night, called ahead and the owner was very friendly and helpful. When we pulled in after dark, our reservation sheet was waiting for us with great directions to our site. Pulled out early but the campground looked very well maintained. Hope to come back and stay longer soon.

I pulled my travel trailer to Kamp Komfort so I’m not sure how to respond to the “Rooms” evaluation other than to address the facilities … spotless. Super clean restrooms and spacious showers. Pool and patio area were very well maintained. Unfortunately, it was chilly the three days I stayed and didn’t take a dip. The grass lots were large and I’ve never seen campground grass as lush as this. Definitely a pleasant surprise for my first trip to Kamp Komfort. The owners drove by and picked up our garbage when we set it out and stopped to chat a few minutes before continuing with their chores. After the first night there, we made plans with some friends to return the same time next year. Great experience.

Stayed for one night to break up a long drive. This is a great campground! The staff is very friendly and helpful, the grounds and pool are well maintained.

It is right next to the interstate so you may hear road noise but with the fan running in our camper we didn’t notice it.

It is perfect for a single night stopover or even longer.

Will definitely add it to our places to stay again.
