Dam West Campground offers large, clean sites, many with beautiful lake views, and is well-maintained with friendly, helpful staff. Guests appreciate the calm lake for activities like boating and swimming, as well as the nearby town amenities. While there is only one dump station, leading to potential wait times, overall experiences are positive, making it a favorite destination for campers.

The hosts are the best. They work to make your experience safe and enjoyable- Thankyou…. On the other hand the grounds are looking “shabby “ Lots of brush and dead wood in the trees. The “no cut” area on the north side of the marina adjacent to the campground could be cleaned up some. Dam West is still one of the better campgrounds around. The reservation system of booking 180 days out is too much . It should be shortened to 120 . It’s amazing how you see the same campers there all summer. Thankyou

I can’t say it enough, that the cleanliness of everything was awesome. I have been bragging to everyone how everything is taken care of and the pride this park takes in keeping everything looking great!!! Keep up the great work!!!

The campsite was busy since it was memorial day weekend but we still had enough privacy. The bathrooms had flush toilets and were very clean. The other campers were very friendly and considerate. The only issue I noticed was our electrical outlet didn't work but I think they put us there deliberately knowing it wasn't working because we were tent camping so it wasn't a big deal. Otherwise, it was a great time and the people at the office were very helpful and friendly. They do not sell firewood at the office but there were other options very close by. There were also several hikes nearby so there's stuff to do during the day. Our daughter was too young to enjoy it but the park rangers put on an event at the amphitheater and there was also a playground.
