We love Dam West campground! The sites are so large and spacious even if you can’t get a site on the lake. You can ride bikes to the beach and spillway for fishing. The kids always catch such big fish, everyone has a blast. The campground hosts have always been so kind and friendly!

Even though it was extremely hot, we still had an excellent time camping. The staff are great and the facilities are very clean. More rock could be added to the camp sites.

Dam West campground surpassed our expectations! We will be recommending it to other campers going to that area. It was very clean (grounds, restrooms & showers and campsites). The lady who cleans restrooms/showers also removes ashes from campsite firepits on a regular basis.
The campground is well maintained and patrolled regularly, letting us know the property is secure. There is a much-appreciated paved bike trail from camp to the town of Carlyle just over a mile away. Since we only had our RV and bicycles, this trail was utilized numerous times during our stay.

This is the cleanest and best kept campground! It has become our favorite campground…Walmart is one mile away, an excellent library in town and Carlyle Lake is right there. The hosts are very helpful and friendly.

Restrooms were very clean and fresh. Nice camp sites. We enjoyed being by the marina and the local restaurant. Fire pits were set up a bit awkward, kind of close to the camper next to us. More sidewalks/bike paths by the main roads would be nice to get from campsite to the restaurant or visitor center.
