What a gem!! We needed a place to stay overnight on our return trip and fount this outstanding location. Large, tree covered, relatively level lots throughout the park add to the parkβs scenic location. We will go out of our way to visit this property again.

The sites are clean and most are semi secluded. To make a more private experience, the fire pits should be relocated on the side of the sites instead of in back or on the corner. Plenty of fire wood to be gathered in Forest.

We frequent Dam West and have for years. It is our peaceful retreat as we live only 40 miles away. The hosts are great people and very helpful. The sites are well maintained and much better than many we've visited. Shopping is nearby and Carlyle lake has countless recreational opportunities. A must visit is Dairy King in Breeze, 10 miles west. The sites are close to the Dam and a bike/walking trail goes from the campground across the dam and is very scenic. A nice swimming beach and park are about 1/8 mile south and are easily within walking distance. There are grills and tables for daytime gatherings in a well planted area.

Wendy in the booth and the lady that cleans the bath houses are both the kind of people you hope to hire when your a employer.5 stars for both and the park.

Great campsite and super clean rest rooms! The dump station is a bit hard to access if you are in the overflow area. They seriously need a second one for that side! Especially if the bike riding staff guy is there. Heβs a bit of a jerk and very hard to work with. The rest of the staff are wonderful!
