Holiday Acres Camping Resort

Rent the cabin for the night on the last day of the season, the staff was so friendly and the restaurant they have on site had great food, the bathroom was super clean and the shower even had warm water! The only suggestion that I would make is maybe update the kids parks . Thank you holiday acers for an amazing experience.

We are seasonal campers here, since the new ownership and have a spot in the river. The new ownership have cleaned the place up, and are working every year to spruce it up.
Bathrooms/shower by the office are now working. Restaurant/bar on site is awesome.
Bonus, new office manager is doing a bang up job.
We travel full time in our RV and this is one of the best campgrounds we’ve been to!

Last Month, I had the pleasure of camping at Holiday Acres in Garden Prairie, and overall, it was a delightful experience! The campsite is beautifully maintained, surrounded by lush greenery and tranquil scenery, making it a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

The facilities were clean and well-equipped, with convenient access to restrooms and showers that were surprisingly well-kept. The staff was friendly and eager to help, providing useful information about the area and ensuring we felt welcome throughout our stay. The proximity to local activities and the peaceful atmosphere made for enjoyable days spent outdoors. We particularly loved the site itself which was on the river.

However, I must mention one downside to our otherwise wonderful experience: the police showed up at 1:30 AM due to some unruly campers nearby. The staff tried the best they could to keep their disturbances to a minimum, these people were so rude to not only staff but others near them they were finally asked to leave. They and their party’s disturbance interrupted what could have been a peaceful night's sleep.

Despite this hiccup, I would still recommend Holiday Acres for a camping trip. The natural beauty, friendly atmosphere, and variety of activities outweigh the negative experience with the late-night disturbance.

We were very disappointed with our experience at this RV park. I made this reservation six months in advance and specifically confirmed it would include full hook-ups and a river view site. Upon arrival, I was told that due to rain, our reserved site was no longer available, and we were moved to a different location within the park. Unfortunately, this new site was substandard—it had no sewer hook-ups, which is something I would never have agreed to had I been informed ahead of time.

The park representative confirmed at the time of booking that our site had full hook-ups, there is no sewer, so this was not only inconvenient but also misleading. As a result, we were unable to stay and had to relocate to a different RV park entirely.

In addition to the reservation issue, the overall condition of the park was disappointing. It is very wooded with numerous trees and obstructions, making it difficult to maneuver. The park also appeared neglected and poorly maintained.

I would not recommend this park to travelers expecting reliable accommodations or a well-kept environment.~

We had a great camping there, didn’t try the pool though due to cold weather. Kids had plenty of space to play at the playgrounds as well as they spent a lot of time on bikes. Fishing was great by the way.
The bathrooms are just refreshed, but the quality of water is horrible, the smell is just so bad that you doubt should you take a shower or skip. Leaving 4 starts only because staff promised to change the filtering system for the water, hopefully it’s true.
