Lake Lou Yaeger Recreation Area

So let me start by saying I only went to a pavilion for a family event. The location was pristine and peaceful, save for my rowdy family.

My only complaint is that the bathroom, nearest our pavilion, was dirty and out of hand soap.

That said, it's a wonderful place for a family gathering.

Very relaxing. I loved the birds chirping. I was hoping to catch some big catfish but only caught small babies. Yes, I put them back in the lake. 😂

this was the worst camping experience EVER!!! apparently kids are not welcome there as I had my 4 small grandkids and the manager was at our site prob 40xs in 2 days over peddy stuff, down to my 2yr old grand daughter was riding a little inside toy and because it was by a tree it was a problem... would not recommend if you have kids...I will never be back to this place!!!
the guy manager needs to come back, he was hands down the best..

You know a park is doing something right when you visit in the middle of the week and it’s crawling with people! The hot spot for the kids was the beach with its platforms that they could climb and jump off of (into the lake). There were also numerous people soaking in the rays on shore. Boaters were coming and going by the boat ramp. Still others were enjoying the shade at the covered picnic tables. There was also a good sized playground but it wasn’t getting as much attention as the weather was more conducive to enjoying the water.

A Great place to get away and enjoy nature. Great bike trails, boating and fishing. There is an area for tent, camping and RV center with water and electric hookups and showers. And a horse campground where riders can bring their horses and enjoy the horse trails. There are two marinas, a snack shack and handicap accessible fishing and boating. There is a swimming beach with lifeguards and a snack bar.
